Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

  1. Journal articles MUST be typed in Indonesian or English using Times New Roman font on A4 paper with left-top-right-bottom margins of 20-20-20-40 cm.
  2. The title uses regular letters with a size of 24 pt.
  3. Author's name 11 pt. Author affiliation 10 pt Italic. The email address uses regular letters Courier with a size of 9 pt.
  4. Abstracts are typed in two languages, Indonesian and English separately with the same conditions, using Times New Roman letters space 9 pt 1. Abstracts Indonesian and English each consist of 150-250 words in 1 paragraph only.
  5. Abstract keywords consist of 3-5 short words/phrases with alphabetic writing for Indonesian (adjusting the order of the Indonesian alphabet for English), lowercase letters, and separated by commas.
  6. The content of the article is introduction, research methods, results and discussion, and conclusions.

The introduction includes the background of the problem, hypotheses (if any), a brief literature review, solutions that have existed, solutions provided by the author in the study accompanied by differences with existing solutions, and research objectives. The composition of the introduction is 15%-20% of the total pages. Research methods include research subjects, research locations, research variables, research instruments, research steps, data collection techniques, and data analysis techniques. Other things can be added according to the type of research needs. The research method is written with a composition of 8%-10% of the total article pages. Results and discussions are written as a whole (not separate) containing the results of the processed data, not raw data. In this section, the author not only describes the results, but also provides the relationship of the results with the referenced references. The composition of the results and discussion is 50%-60% of the total article pages. The conclusion includes problem solving and research objectives in the introduction, can be a summary of the results but is not a repetition of the results and discussion sections. The conclusion is simply written in one paragraph with a composition of 5% of the total article pages.

  1. Tables can be embedded in introductions, methods, or results and discussions. The table is typed using Times New Roman 9pt, space 1, table line only for horizontal lines on the header row and the end of the table (no vertical line). Table headings start at the number 1, with headings written at the top of the table using capital letters for each word (except prepositions, hyphens, etc.)
  2. Images can be embedded in the introduction, method, or results and discussion. Position the image in the center with a title separate from the table, i.e. starting with the number 1, with the title written at the bottom of the figure using Times New Roman capital letters for each word (except prepositions, conjunctions, etc.), space 1.
  3. 80% of citations are literature research journals, proceedings, books, or other research reports such as theses, theses, or dissertations in IEEE style, Reference item numbers in square brackets (eg. [1]). Citations of news and documents from the web are allowed but not more than 20%. Any references cited should be listed in the bibliography. Writing citations and bibliography is recommended using Mendeley or the Citation & Bibiliography menu in Ms. Word.
  4. The Bibliography contains all references cited in IEEE format typed using Times New Roman letters with a space of 1. Reference titles are capitalized only for the first word and/or abbreviation, city name, etc.
